Preserving existing trees for new planting project.
Bellingen Riverwatch are partnering with Bellingen Shire Council, Bellinger Landcare and Arborgreen to deliver a series of tree planting events at Lavenders Bridge in 2024 and 2025. In preparation for taking custodianship for the site, bush regenerator Andrew Yager and Bellingen Shire Council’s Biodiversity Officer Justine Elder assisted two volunteers and the Bellingen Riverwatch Team to identify and steak out existing native plants in the riparian zone.
