    The largest citizen science macroinvertebrate monitoring program in Australia. Data assists scientists involved in the recovery of the critically endangered Bellinger River Snapping Turtle.

  • rethink waste

    Inspiring people to change their habits around waste.

    A waste education community project that partners with major events to reduce waste and raise awareness. Volunteers help redirect waste from landfill, educate patrons about waste and create ripples of positive change towards a zero-waste future.

  • Riveryouthfest

    Empowering the community to help protect the river and have fun doing it!

    A community festival featuring young bands and singer-songwriters, the Budaabaο»Ώng Bari dancers, a free BBQ, creative workshops including β€˜The Great Curtain Challenge’ and bringing people together to plant 420 trees along the beautiful Bellinger River, helping to protect one of the most pristine rivers in Australia.

    The largest river health citizen science water monitoring program in NSW. Data helps inform catchment management decisions.

    Empowering young people to make positive change

    A 6-month program that empowers students to investigate, brainstorm, plan, design and take action together to realise a waste project to reduce waste at their school.

    A suite of outdoor wellbeing events such as bushwalks, paddleboarding and kayaking and bird language tours. We know that connecting people with nature has a profound and positive impact on our wellbeing.

    A 2-day resilience-building community festival that brought together many sectors including emergency services, food producers, Elders, and renewable energy experts.

    Discover a little more about yourself

    An overnight wellbeing camp, designed for young people experiencing isolation or mental health issues in regional schools. A diverse program is delivered by a group of partners to support the young people in their journey of self discovery.

    Connecting young people that care about the Earth.

    A 3-day youth conference to bring young people together to innovate solutions, accelerating the shift to a fairer future by building a movement of inspired leaders.

  • Resilient Communities

    Making change together is easier than doing it by yourself.

    A diverse and engaging community program that takes a 3-tiered approach to resilience-building, training and supporting Community Mentors; hosting community days to share skills, concerns and plan for the future; and promoting community events.
