Save the Nambucca River Community Day

January 2023 | Nambucca, NSW, Australia

OzGREEN embarked on a waster testing day, training up locals from the Save the Nambucca River Group and testing many spots along the Nambucca catchment. A field day was then held to share these results with the local community and to raise awareness about the health of the Nambucca River.

  • "It was amazing to hear from local Gumbaynggirr Elders about the significance of the Nambucca River. It was shocking to see the faecal contamination present in the river and to learn about the negative impacts, especially for oyster growers."
